Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem: Islamic Finance and Investment Limited (IFIL) is a financial Institution incorporated in Bangladesh on February 27, 2001 as a Public Limited Company under the Companies Act, 1994. The company obtained its license from Bangladesh Bank on April 12, 2001 as required under Section 4(1) of the Financial Institutions Act, 1993. IFIL started its operation on April 19, 2001 as the first and only Shariah based Financial Institution. From the inception IFIL is playing an important role in the financial industry. As a financial institution it receives deposits and extends investments through better counseling and effective services to the clients for the socio-economic development of the country. The company continued to be a major financial partner to the industrial sector and also promoting the business, trade and real estate sectors of the country. IFIL is the first ISO certified company in the financial arena of Bangladesh. It is regulated and supervised by Bangladesh Bank and Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC).
